Zara and her funny quips here and there.

I haven't posted in awhile, but i keep telling myself i should somehow record some of Zara's litle remarks and funny realisations.... then when the time comes to recount, i completely forget what i told myself i would never forget!  

She is so lucky and we have done so many fun things each day, and i am lucky to be at home with her to cherish the funny-isms.  

 I can simply remark on her new little conversational style.  the use of her hands, all very dramatic and sometimes a valley girl-esque tempo.  "One time 'Mowm', at school, Hannah asked me if i knew this other girl on the playground, and i said, like, i forgot her name".  She genuinely loves all these different friends she has from school, from ballet, from little gym and my gym as well as our wonderful Alton Place crew!  Her memory is phenomenal, which i guess is expected, after all she only has 3 years of memories on her brain hard drive, not like me, poor mommy with senior moments!

She is a negotiator and a genius one at that!  Lots of point and counter points to make.  I must try and write the exact verbiage down to recount here so i have her quotes exact. 

The Candy Cane Bar at the Ritz Carlton served with hot chocolate, becoming a Christmas tradition for Zara and her friend Bees.  Also we went to Ballet Petit's Nutcracker, and Zara has completely taken by Clara.. In fact she received an "Elf on a Shelf" from Mike and Lori Thomas and named her Clara.

She has been to see Oliver where her "sisters" Sumika and Akari played big roles so now she likes to act out Oliver saying, "please sir, may i have some more?"

We also did a great event at the Rock Creek Park Horse Center where they offered "reindeer" pony rides.  This was really enjoyable for me because 

Matt and I found ourselves on a nice twenty minute trail walk along side her and i think its 

the first " healthy nature event" thing we have done together in a LOOONG time.

This past Friday, Dr Carl & sweetie blondie son Joseph invited us to join them down to the mall- to view the famous Train display at the US Botanic Gardens!  What a brilliant idea and too much fun going with them, the old pros knew all about it!  We tried for some serious pictures in front of the Capitol- on the lawn of our nations Capitol- the VERY seat of liberty-- well i tried to keep the shots of the occupy DC protestors out of the shot.  Fortunately they weren't near us at all, phew!

Tomorrow we are off to the spectacular Gaylord Hotel at National Harbor to see the ICE sculptures and slide rides.. will report more in my usual photo journalist style.
