It was uplifting and so exciting to see Aisha and Helena altogether in one room again... Kiara and Zara re-formed their friendship in maybe 2 seconds, as Zara rushed to hug Kiara as she walked in from school. When we are together, it really makes you realise how much we miss each other and the good bye's were so hard. Aisha's strength was powerful to witness, she is going through so much and yet you will see all her pictures show her with a smile.. she is a true fighter against this unfair foe. We had a wonderful time chatting and marveling at each others stories... her mother was so great and we luckily had a chance to visit with her dad too, who drove over particularly to see how Aisha' s old school friends had turned out after 30 years!
I also loved seeing Poca (Aisha sister whose place we stayed in Jamaica) exactly 2 years to the date! Amazing-i checked my passport dates. As well as Angelique who picked us up from the airport. Funny about the Jamaica dates, i arrived to see Aisha this visit on October 16th 2010 and i arrived in Jamaica on October 15 2008, and departed almost identically as well!
