Here is the most beautiful picture sent from Rich, Gal and Ella on Clearwater Beach. Zara loves to watch Baby Ella videos and hear all the Ella news! It was Rich's first Father's Day!
Speaking of Fathers, here is a picture of Ken Bailey with his son and grandson on our trampoline. He sold his house this past week getting 8 offers in 3 days, after living there since at least 1969. I know this because when i was a toddler in this house, his kids played with me across the alley! It's the end of an era in a way, we are sad to see him go but i know he is excited to move into his new place at Ingleside, as he has said so many times!
We went picking strawberries and sour cherries with grandma Zarr, they came early due to the early hot temps this season. So we pitted the cherries and made a great sour cherry pie.. along with Zara's waffle breakfast, it was quite a yummy day!

I had to post this funny picture I had drawn in 1980 in Ghana. It was inspired by the view from my art class windows at Ghana International School. The birds eating our dropped snacks on the gravel outside. I love the green striped uniformed girls walking around and the entrance to the school from the parking lot at the top left. Other than that, my artistic skills are not to be envied. My mother found some other paintings which we had a good laugh at... one was of a boys club house with a sign, "NO GIRLS", and a scene of the boys fighting. Pretty random, I thought.
In a couple of days we are off to the beach with our great friends Carl, and Joseph as well as Lisa, Steve and Ethan! Also we are thrilled to have Grandma and Grandpa join us as well! We are just sorry Brent will miss out this time, but i hope for many fun escapes in our futures.
